Racing star Lewis Hamilton responds to Rihanna dating rumours

Speculation has been rife for months that popular Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton and celebrated RnB singer Rihanna, are an item. Hamilton has finally spoken out to address their rumoured relationship.

The two, who many argue could make a good couple, have recently been spotted flirting up a storm in the Caribbean and New York.

However, it is not good news for anyone hoping for the next biggest A-list romance as the racing star insists Riri, as he refers to her, is just a pal.

Speaking to E!News, Hamilton – who split with Nicole Scherzinger in February 2015, said: “You know, I’ve known Ri for a long time.”

“We’ve been friends for a while. We get to hang out every now and again.”

The two have been linked ever since they were spotted flirting at the annual Crop Over Festival in Barbados.

Last month, it was believed the romance between Hamilton and Rihanna was spicing up, but an insider told E!News the singer wasn’t in a rush to put a label on it.

“Rihanna and Lewis had a nice little getaway last weekend in Barbados. Rihanna also spent time with her friends and family but Lewis was the only romantic interest on her mind.”

“She is not at any point in her life now ready to settle just for anyone, but she is enjoying the time she has with her friends and also focusing on work,” added the source.
