Rapper Moustapha and girlfriend to teach sex education in schools

Kenyan rapper, Colonel Moustapha, has disclosed that he and his girlfriend are working on a project which will see the two teach sex education in secondary schools across the country.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, Moustapha says his motivation comes from him changing for the better and the desire to save many teenagers’ lives which he says are getting wasted by the day due to irresponsible sexual behaviour and alcoholism.

“Education is very important – sex, relationships and love are not going an inch away; they will always be there,” Moustapha intimated.

He added: “After I soon release my video of Pangua Pangua, I will visit schools accompanied with my girlfriend to sensitise the teenagers on matters love, sex and relationships. Personally, I became sexually active after completing my secondary education. I did not have a lover all through high school.”

The Mtaani Dot Com hit-maker recounted the incident which prompted him to take the bold and constructive move.

“I recently saw young school-going children doing shocking acts – like the 500 students who were caught engaging in casual sex at a bar in Eldoret. That was very unfortunate. I saw I could be of help by setting a good example,” he said.

Adding: “You know when a parent pays school fees, and realises his or her child is engaging in immorality and unacceptable non-school activities, his or her heart breaks.”

Besides the unpleasant incident, what else contributed to Moustapha’s change of lifestyle?

“There are some things you do at certain ages. It reaches a point you realise you need to change. Since my girlfriend came into my life, I decided I would abstain.”

Moustapha just talked about abstaining; I asked if it would be until he ties the knot with his gospel singer flame.

“No – not until marriage: that one I would be lying,” he told, adding: “I sat my girlfriend down and we agreed to go slow on matters sex. Actually it is her who suggested, and I agreed.”

Moustapha says their newly acquired lifestyle positively mirrors the sex education program they would be soon launching.

“My girlfriend is in full support of the initiative. The people I have shared the idea with are very happy about it. I know it would take a lot of convincing to make people believe I have changed for the better,” said the rapper who is widely perceived a ‘bad boy’.

Moustapha shared the array of issues either of the pair will be dealing with.

He said: “I will be talking about issues affecting the male child and my girlfriend will address matters relevant with the female child.”

Sex education is not the only area Moustapha and his girlfriend are planning to address. They will also engage in philanthropy towards helping the girl child.

“We are also planning to distribute sanitary towels to girl schools in marginalized areas. We will dip into our own pockets to finance the project,” he said.

“My relationship with her will lead to marriage. Hapa nimefika, sitafuti tena,” he affirmed.
