Senator Mike Sonko’s dad hospitalized

Nairobi Senator Gidion Mbuvi alias Mike Sonko’s father, Gideon Kioko Kivanguli, has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at a Nairobi hospital.

Sonko, who is yet to disclose the complications his dad is suffering from, took to his official social media pages Saturday to notify his fans and the public about the sad news.

“Dear Kenyans, my father is in the ICU at a Nairobi hospital,” reads his post in part.

The Senator stood by his dad’s bedside in hospital late Friday.

He also requested Kenyans to remember his father in their prayers, and that he is hopeful God would heal him.

He wrote: “Kindly pray for him. God I believe you heal, You healed baby Satrin, baby Scandy Chelangat, Mariam and millions of patients with serious complications.”

The request touched many followers who filled the Senator’s timeline with recovery messages.

Sonko also made his prayer request: “God heal my dad and all the patients admitted in different hospitals countrywide in the mighty name of Jesus.”

His father has been in and out of hospital 2015 and his condition worsened last week. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
