Singer Emmy Kosgei nominated for an award in South Africa

Gospel singer Emmy Kosgei has been nominated for Redeemed International Gospel Awards (RIGA) in South Africa.

She will among other African artistes compete for the Outstanding Female Gospel Artist of the Year Traditional accolade.

The songbird who started singing at a very tender age took to her social media page on February 27, 2016 to share the news with her fans.

“Hey dearies I have been nominated for this award in SA alongside Timothy from Kenya who is in the male category,” the gospel sensation posted.

The Taunet Nelel hitmaker urged her fans to vote for her as many times as possible.

“Keep the votes coming….You can vote daily,” she said.

The RIGA Awards by Redemption Television Ministry (RTM) according to the organisers has been introduced to recognise and appreciate those that had made RTM possible.

Besides music, Emmy Kosgei is also top fashion trendsetter. While many artistes go to designers to help select outfits, that is not the case with Emmy. She runs the Emmy K House of Fashion, and that label makes most of her classic designs.

The award-winning artiste was recently appointed Kenya’s National and Global Ambassador for Culture and Tourism following her exemplary contribution toward tradition conservation.
