Singer Size 8’s mum to be laid to rest in Uganda

Popular gospel singer Size 8’s mother will be laid to rest at Mbale in Uganda Saturday, November 28.

“Mum will be laid to rest in Mbale area, Uganda because that’s my dad’s native home,” Size 8 briefly told Citizen Digital.

Esther Njeri Munyali succumbed to kidney failure last Friday at Coptic Hospital barely 24 hours after the birth of her granddaughter, Ladasha Belle Muraya.

Size 8, born Linet Masivo Munyali, is born of a Ugandan father Samuel Kirui Munyali and mother from Kikuyu ethnic group.

The musician and her six other siblings (four brothers and two sisters) have dual citizenship.

Size 8’s family left Kenya for Uganda Thursday evening after attending a requiem service which was conducted at KAG Buruburu church.

Linet Munyali is the wife of Kenya’s celebrated disc jockey Sammy Muraya better known DJ Mo.

The celebrity couple is blessed with a daughter.
