Sorry Drake, Serena Williams has moved on

Tennis pro Serena Williams, who has been in the media for dating Drake,  has reportedly booted the OVO singer for a new love interest, Alexis Ohanian.

The two were spotted at the Los Angeles School of Gymnastics on Saturday, October 24th.

An onlooker told US Magazine “He called her babe and held her hands.”

Ohanian is an American internet entrepreneur, activist and investor based in the Brooklyn, New York City. He is best known for co-founding the social news website Reddit.

A source told the magazine that her relationship with Drake was simply a flirty liaison.

It seems that Serena has formed a habit of inviting her love interests into her tennis games. Drake was seen supporting her during a few matches, and now Ohanian has been seen getting into her sport of choice.

“He said he’d never been into tennis until they started dating!” a second source told the magazine.

Serena’s fans and family pointed fingers at Drake saying that he was the one that jinxed her when she lost during the US Open to Roberta Vinci.

The family had advised Serena Williams against starting a relationship with the Hotline Bling hit-maker.  Instead, they urged her to focus on the game.

The tennis star was dating Lonnie Rashid, best known as Common.

The two reportedly broke up back in 2011 after Drake made advances on her through Twitter. Apparently, his songs got under Common’s skin, causing a feud between the two musicians.

Common spoke to Vlad TV and explained the whole situation.

“For me, I think it was an emotional thing,” he said. “Meaning, I was feeling like, at that time, I think it was the Drake-Serena situation — I ain’t know what was going on with that. And I ain’t know if he was throwing things, shots at me. You know, this my ex, and we kinda, you know, going our separate ways. Unfortunately, the war might have been over a girl, even though at the time I never said that.”

Common later revealed that the pair eventually met face-to-face and talked about their beef and later partied together.

Serena Williams is now taking a break from tennis for a year to focus on her health.

“It’s no secret I’ve played injured most of the year,” said the tennis star. “Whether it was my elbow, my knee, or, in the final moments after a certain match in Flushing (Meadows), my heart.”

She added: “I am taking a proactive step and withdrawing from tournaments in Beijing and Singapore to properly address my health and take the time to heal.”
