This is the woman that Chipukeezy proposed to

Renowned Kenyan comic star Chipukeezy on Wednesday evening engaged his long term girlfriend Vivian ‘Kerry’ in an exclusive event which was held at his Buruburu Phase 5 home in Nairobi.

“Yesterday (Wednesday, January 6) I proposed to my kababy at my Buruburu home in Phase 5. Close friends and few of my fiancée’s relations witnessed the ceremony. She was turning 23, and I wanted to make her big day memorable. Mi ni ule msee mnoma!” said the elated comedian.

Chipukeezy, 25, says he is ripe for marriage and is excited with the challenge which lies ahead.

“I have decided to settle down. In life one has just to do the right thing in order to get everything right; I want to do what every other successful man does. I don’t want to wait in order to marry. There’s no more time. If not today, then it must be today,” he affirmed.

The Kimondio funnyman added that he strongly subscribes to the phrase ‘behind every successful man there’s a woman’.  He therefore hopes, wishes and looks forward to making it big in his career and building a home, with Vivian being his pillar of strength.

“Why I am doing this? It is because I want to focus more on my career. I want to be a man; I want to be responsible. There’s this public notion about celebrities that they often do not commit to one partner, and that they are the doyens of infidelity. I want to disapprove that belief,” he stated.

“How about I put focus on one woman, one thing and build my future-all these to achieve success as a person,” he added.

When asked if he has already set aside a wedding date, Chipukeezy said: “The wedding will take place soon; I will communicate when everything is set.”

In September, 2015 comedian Jalang’o raised eyebrows with his post which indicated that the Itakuwaje funnyman was going to wed his flame in November, 2015 – a statement which did not come to pass.

“I am happy for my brother, Chipukeezy. Wedding date set! He who finds a good wife finds a good thing,” wrote Jalang’o on his official Instagram page.

It is this message which left many speculating that Chipukeezy will exchange vows with his girlfriend, Kerry later that year.

On his official Instagram page, the comedian also shared a merged photo of him and lover, Kerry; then captioned it: “November, 27th #bigannouncement,” after Jalango’s spill sending speculations flying.

He has however cleared the air.
