What Kambua said about her late dad, Professor Manundu, will break your heart

Gorgeous gospel songbird and Kubamba host Kambua Mutsembi-Mathu has mourned her late dad, Professor Manundu, in an emotive social media post.

The Bado Nasimama singer, who has previously spoken about the loving relationship she had with her father, said that she is still heartbroken about his death, two years on.

“2 years ago today, my world changed forever. You were gone…never to come back. I’ve tried daddy, to be strong and courageous, just like you taught me to. But every day I think of you and my heart breaks all over again,” she said.

The pain of losing a loved one can be unbearable; Kambua thanks God for seeing her though the loss.

“I learned so much from you (her dad), but you never taught me how to live without you…. But God, He has carried me. I hope in the timeless world you see me, and I make you proud,” she said.

Nonetheless, Kambua, who ascribes to the Christian faith, said that she looks forward to meeting her dad in the afterlife.

“I hope to one day hold your hand again, sing songs, and laugh, like we used to, on that side of heaven. Rest in power my daddy, my king,” she posted

Professor Manundu, who gained notoriety for his herbal medicine show, passed on April 2014, after a long illness.
