Why gospel singer Ringtone wants to meet Ray C

Barely two months after Ray C made headlines across East Africa for launching an online husband hunt, Ringtone revealed he will soon be traveling to Tanzania with the hopes of meeting her.

The gospel singer said he hopes his good friend AY, who is a celebrated Tanzanian Rapper, will arrange the meet up.

“AY is like a brother to me. He will be hosting me in Tanzania and I hope to use his influence to link up with Ray C,” said Ringtone.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, Ringtone revealed he plans to visit schools in Lodwar to sensitise the students about drug and substance abuse.

“When schools resume for third term, I would be headed to Lodwar, Turkana County for my anti-drugs campaign which targets young people. I would visit as many schools as possible,” said Ringtone.

He said he would appreciate the campaign more if he had Ray C on board.

“I will be traveling to Tanzania soon, and would really love to meet Ray C. I intend to talk about the campaign program with her to see if she would be interested. I am hopeful though,” said Ringtone.

The Pamela hit-maker said his fans should wait to see him sharing images of him and Ray C on social media during his Tanzanian visit.

Beef with Jaguar

Ringtone did not shy away from commenting on the alleged ‘beef’ between him and Kigeugeu singer Jaguar.

He said he has not fallen out with the wealthy artiste, and the fact that he fasted and prayed for a Range Rover similar to Jaguar’s could not possibly cause them to clash.

“Jaguar sings secular music, I do gospel. Sometimes I might say things he does not understand – like why I fast and pray for a Range Rover. However, for those who are familiar with the power of fasting and prayer; they know what I mean. Even praying for a cup of tea means a lot.”

Jaguar had earlier dismissed Ringtone terming his antics ‘childish games.’
