Woman denounced boyfriend after meeting me – Ali Kiba

Tanzanian singer Ali Kiba has revealed one of his staunch female fans denounced her boyfriend in his presence after she met him (Kiba) at one of his performances.

The feted artiste who enjoys a huge fan base in East and Central Africa said there’s yet another woman who named her son after him.

Speaking to Daily Nation’s Buzz, Kiba said the excessive show of love to him by fans overwhelms him.

“It scares me sometimes. There was this woman who came with her boyfriend to my show and after meeting me, she started saying the guy was not her boyfriend,” recounted the Mwana star.

“Then there’s this other woman who got a baby and named him Ali Kiba,” he added.

Ali Kiba who recently headlined a New Year’s Party at Machakos People’s Park for free, says he owes his Kenyan fans his fame and success; and used the performance to appreciate them.

“It (Machakos New Year Party) was a gift. My way of appreciating my true Kenyan fans that make me feel free here and make me feel like I’m at home. It’s something that gives me great joy and that’s why I just couldn’t end the year in Tanzania…”

Despite blending effortlessly with his fans, Kiba says his personal life is not an open book – and admits sharing minimal details about it.

“Maybe in photos, like whatever I’m having for dinner or lunch and my work-out sessions. Or when I’m just chilling, I’m comfortable with that… But I would never share my personal relationship.”

In a different media interview, the Bongo Flava artiste disclosed he is dating.
