G-Kon: I Was Homeless

Hip hop musician G-Kon has revealed that he was homeless for two years before he finally got his big break in the music industry.

The “Vile Ina Faa Kufanywa” hit maker was speaking to Radio Citizen’s Willy M Tuva during the Mseto show.

“I used to stay in night clubs till morning, sometimes I would stay with friends,” said G-Kon.

G-Kon revealed that he would also sleep in a recording booth during his hard years.

The hip hop artiste was speaking when he went to promote his new song ‘Wanajichocha’.

“I want people who are trying to make it to get inspired by the song,” said the musician.

“I almost quit music because I lacked financial support as well as airplay, but my passion pushed me through the hard times,” said G-Kon.

“I came from nothing to performing on front of many Heads of State,” added the ‘Zetu Zinabamba’ hit maker. “I am a testimony that anyone can achieve their dreams.”
