Kit Harington, well known to most of his fans for his role as Jon Snow in the just concluded series Game of Thrones, arrived at the Luxury Prive -Swiss wellness retreat in Connecticut last month.

According to the New York Post, the 32-year-old is believed to have checked himself into the clinic weeks before the show came to an end on May 19 to undergo treatment for  stress, exhaustion and alcohol use.

The rehab facility is believed to cost around Ksh.12million per month according to TMZ and there is no word out yet on when he is to be released from the facility.

A representative for the British actor however, said in a statement: “Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.”

The representative also insisted that he was not there for rehab and emphasized the word wellness retreat in a phone interview with TMZ.

His spouse and co-star Rose Leslie is said to have been instrumental in the process. ” She has being very supportive of the decision to get help,” Harington said in a statement.

Harington opened up about his mental and emotional state while on the series, admitting that his “darkest” moments came when Jon Snow was the show’s focus.

In an interview with Esquire in April, he admitted to having a “full breakdown” while shooting the series’ final scenes.

“My final day of shooting, I felt fine… I felt fine….then I went to do my last shots and started hyperventilating a bit,” he said.

“Then they called ‘wrap’ and I just f******* broke down. It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not being able to do this again.”

The New York Post’s page six column claimed that Harington had been involved in a few boozy public incidents prior to his current stay at the retreat centre.

A video obtained by TMZ, showed Harington moving unsteadily from side to side, bumping against people roughly and grabbing other people in a non – aggressive manner before launching himself on a pool table, interrupting the game and requesting for the cue stick.

He was later physically restrained from the pool table then helped towards the door by bar staff and thrown out.

However, according to Sky News , he came back to settle the bill and tipped generously a 100percent tip the bar staff confirmed: ”$70 (Ksh.7000) on a $70 (Ksh.7000) check.”
