International Men’s Day: 6 most memorable quotes
International Men’s Day, commonly referred top as IMD, is celebrated annually on November 19 in over 80 countries around the world.
Inaugurated in 1992 by Thomas Oaster and revived by Dr Jerome Teelucksingh, the day is meant to celebrate the achievements and contributions of men and boys in the society.
Its different objectives are set out in the Six Pillars Of International Men’s Day.
They include focusing on men’s and boys’ health, improving gender relations, promoting gender equality, highlighting discrimination against men and promoting male role models which base on men’s contribution to community, family, marriage, and child care.
