K-pop star Sulli found dead at home after online bullying

South Korean pop star and actress Sulli was found dead at her home in Seongnam, South Korea.

According to the police, the 25-year-old was discovered unconscious at her Seongnam residence over the weekend after her manager visited her home.

“So far, it seems she killed herself, but we will leave all possibilities open and investigate,” a police official told CNN.

The Guardian reported that Choi Jin-ri, better known by her stage name Sulli, was a victim of online bullying and had suffered from severe depression.

The Korean pop (K-pop) star had also hit the headlines with controversial posts such as not wearing a bra to express her freedom.

In 2014, she suffered from a stress related breakdown after rumors about her personal life which circulated online.

There was also a lot of backlash from fans after Sulli pecked her best friend Goo Ha-ra on the lips during a birthday party.

And during a reality show in 2o14, Sulli revealed that she suffered from panic disorders when she was young.

Before her untimely death, Sulli had posted videos on her Instagram account showing her crying and insisting that she wasn’t a bad person.

Sulli was a child actor before she launched her singing career.
