Kenny Lattimore set to thrill Kenyan fans at Carnivore on Saturday

King of ballad Kenny Latimore is set to thrill fans at Carnivore grounds this Saturday in a concert dubbed ‘Never Too Busy For You’.

The R&B sensation is famous for his hit songs Stay on your mind, One more night, Falling for you, Vulnerable, Curtains Closed, Princess, Deserve and many others.

On Thursday, Lattimore revealed that Kenya is a place his mother always wanted to visit but never got the chance.

“This is a place that I have dreamt about coming for years.. I have some great talented friends who come from here that I’ve worked on albums with, it’s almost surreal,” he told journalists in Nairobi.

He also addressed a question posed regarding stereotypes about Africa saying:

“I have been to Nigeria, Uganda, South Africa, Zambia… I have been to various parts of Africa so I didn’t have any type of stereotypical things that Americans come over here with.”

“From friends that I spoke with, I was expecting a modern city and that’s what I see,” he added.

In regards to his music, the 51-year-old singer talked about his legacy in wanting to speak to the “hearts of women and the minds of men to encourage them in love.”

“In the United States, the way the music industry is put together, you know, it’s all about money, even though we know that music is far more precious than money,” he added.

Kenny Lattimore’s music career spans three decades and was highlighted by his 1996 top single ‘Never too busy’.

He also has Grammy recognition and several top 20 R&B albums under his cap.

Lattimore was born and raised in Washington DC, as part of a musical family.
