Kenya’s Top Hotels Nominated for Prestigious Global Travel Awards
Some of Kenya’s top hotels have been nominated for the World Travel Awards.
The awards, which are in their 22nd year having begun in 1993, seek to acknowledge and reward excellence in all sectors of the tourism sector.
Among other sectors acknowledged in the awards include car rental services, hotels and resorts, safari, spa and travel agencies and tour operators.
According to a statement on their website, the awards will have regional galas where the winners will then compete for the ultimate prize.
The regions include Middle East, Africa and the Indian Ocean, South and Central America, North America and the Caribbean, Asia & Australasia and Europe.

“All regional winners will then compete head to head in a final round of voting to decide who will triumph in the World Travel Awards world awards,” the statement read.
The winners will be announced on the night of the World Travel Awards Grand Final at the end of the year.
In 2014, over 650,000 votes were cast by travel professionals and high-end tourism consumers.
Among the hotels nominated for the prestigious award include Fairmonth Mount Kenya Safari Club, Fairmont the Norfolk Hotel, InterContinental Nairobi, Nairobi Serena Hotel, Safari Park Hotel & Casino, Sankara, The Sarova Stanely, Tribe Hotel, Villa Rosa Kempinski Nairobi and Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club.
