Laura Akunga proves she pays her taxes

Laura Akunga, the lady who recently made news for gifting her husband with a Land Cruiser V8, has come out strongly to refute claims that she has been evading tax.

Reports doing rounds on social media and online tabloids allege that Laura has not been paying her taxes to the Kenya Revenue Authority as required by law.

The affluent lady took to her official Facebook page on Thursday to clarify her loyalty and compliance with the taxman’s requirement.

She posted two tax compliance certificates; one for her company Benchmark Solutions Limited and another of her personal returns.

Both documents show their validity periods are up-to-date.

After winning many men’s hearts and approval regionally, Akunga got her reputation hammered by blogger Robert Alai who recently came out calling her a liar.

Alai went loud on his social media pages to claim Akunga is a ‘fake’ saying, “The case with Laura Akunga is that she is a lady who is using cooked stories to market her Benchmark Solutions Company. When she did an interview with NTV her story had glaring inconsistencies.”

“In the interview, she claimed that she was 28 and had lost her dad while she was 19. If she was 28 in 2014 how come she is still not older than 28 in 2015?” added the controversial blogger.

This comes at a time when Laura is riding high on the admirable reputation she has gained for herself.
