Moran offers 500 cows to marry Malia Obama

A second Kenyan man has declared his undying love for US President Barak Obama’s teenage daughter Malia, offering 500 cows for her hand in marriage.

Rubbishing Lawyer Felix Rono’s 50 cow offer, Maasai moran Jeff ole Kishau has said that his love for 16-year-old Malia has robbed him of sleep.

“She is very beautiful, nice and cute. I am not able to sleep at night, I love Malia Obama very much. I do not know good English but I know that I love her,” he said speaking to The Star during the eco-manyatta launch in Suswa.

The 24-year-old has said that he is prepared to sell his ancestral piece of land in the Maasai Mara to win Malia’s heart. Kishau has gone to the extent of naming the Maasai Elders that he would like to represent him in the marriage negotiations.

This is second marriage offer that Malia Obama has gotten from Kenya. Shortly after Obama’s team announced his visit to Kenya, Felix Rono announced that he would seek audience with him to discuss his marriage proposal. He offered to give 50 cows, 70 goats and 30 sheep for Malia’s hand in marriage.

His offer made it to local and global headlines, sparking discussions across the globe about marriage customs in Africa.

Ole Kishau’s offer has shot to the top of national trends with Kenyans on social media calling to an end to these marriage proposals as they paint the country in bad light.
