Nicki Minaj now Mrs. Petty

Nicki Minaj on Tuesday announced her marriage to her boyfriend Kenneth Petty.

Minaj has since changed her social media account names to Mrs. Petty.

“I think I have what I was striving for, just happiness. It was so hard to get to a happy place, now that I’m there, I don’t want to compromise that for anyone or anything,” she said on Instagram.

The 36-year-old rapper shared a video clip on instagram showing hats labelled ‘Bride’ and ‘Groom’ and ‘Mr.’ and ‘Mrs.’

She captioned the video “Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty 10•21•19.

“We’re very close as friends, cause we’ve known each other since we were kids,” Minaj told the E network.

Minaj received well wishes on social media from friends including Juicy J, Naomi Campbell, Kimora Lee Simmons,  La La Anthony, Winnie Harlow, and Christina Aguilera, who said: “Congrats queen!”

According to CNN, the couple has been dating for less than a year.
