No pain, no gain: Infamous Alexander McQueen Armadillo Boots up for auction

Armadillo Boots are rated as the most iconic shoes ever created by a designer.

Designed by Lee Alexander McQueen himself, Armadillo Boots first appeared on the runway in 2010 for his collection, Plato’s Atlantis.

These shoes are rare and only 21 pairs were ever made, as they were never intended for retail.

Needless to say, celebrities like Lady Gaga, Kelis and Daphne Guinness have been seen rocking these sophisticated boots.
