Shock as man exhumes, roasts and eats human corpse

A 30-year-old ex-convict, Njanji Lungu, shocked many after he allegedly exhumed, roasted and ate a human corpse at a graveyard in Nyimba District, Zambia.

Zambia’s Eastern Province Commissioner of Police, Eugene Sibote, while confirming the incident told the media that Lungu was in custody, reports allAfrica.

Mr Sibote said Lungu was found on July 28 between 2 and 3 pm roasting human flesh at a cemetery.

“Lungu was found with human skull while roasting human flesh at the graveyard, claiming he was hungry,” said Sibote.

He added the grave was identified to belong to one Moses Phiri who is believed to have died two years ago.

Sibote said members of the neighborhood watch committee alerted the police once they learnt about the incident and quickly made their way to the cemetery, where they allegedly found Lungu feeding on human flesh.

Police arrested Lungu and charged him with trespassing in the graveyard.
