Susumila On Divorce

Popular Kenyan artiste Susumila has revealed that he is divorced and has decided to concentrate on his music.

The coast-based star disclosed the news in an interview with Mzazi Willy Tuva on Radio Citizen’s Mambo Mseto.

“Mimi saa hii niko divorced….nimeachana na mke wangu….msanii kueleweka ni ngumu….kwa saa hii niko married to music,” said Susumila.

But what caused the divorce? “Music takes most of my time and when someone tries to stop me from doing it then it becomes difficult for us to be together.”

Susumila, who is a father of two, further explained that he takes good care of his son and daughter.

“Mimi ni mtafutaji…lazima nitafute ukipata mtu ambaye anakukwaza katika utafutaji heri tukae mbalimbali kazi iendelee.” (I am a go-getter…I have to hustle but when anyone becomes a setback I’d rather we separate so that I can continue working).

After the successful release of several collaborations like Kide Kide with Dazlah and Ngoma Itambae with Chikuzee, the Hidaya hit-maker launched his new music video ‘ihale’ during Wednesday’s edition of Mseto’s Afro Beat Wednesdays at K1 KlubHouse.

‘Ihale’ is a Mijikenda word meaning ‘Take It.’
