Thika School For the Blind Holds First Beauty Pageant

Thika School of the Blind held its first beauty pageant for the visually challenged students.

The pageant, which was organised through the initiative of Mr & Miss MKU Thika Main Campus, was, according to it’s organisers, meant to encourage the pupils to see the world in a better way and boost the self-esteem of the students.

The winners were crowned in a colorful ceremony attended by the Associate Dean of Student Emmanuel Awuor with the title-holders being presented with laptops with Braille learning support functionality.

The crowd was entertained by different artists among them Shaniqwa and MC Laughter who feature in the Churchill show.
