The history of ripped jeans dates back to the bands of the 1960s and 70s. I remember Back when I was in high school, destroyed and patched denim were very popular, the more holes and rips your jeans had, the better!
I wore most of my ripped denim with literally everything, and couldn’t imagine the day when I had to wear jeans that weren’t tattered and ripped up.
Fast forward to present day and ripped and patched jeans are making a comeback.
This clothing item has a super casual feel, and it can be hard to make it look put-together and polished.
But it’s definitely not impossible! In fact, when styled correctly, destroyed denim looks street-chic and cool. You just have to know what to pair it with so that it looks less grungy and more chic and stylish.
Here are style tips on how to wear distressed denim that will make you want to start putting holes in all of your jeans.
4. Carry a simple clutch bag aside from a big bag for a simple yet sassy look
5. Add heels with your patched skinny jeans for a more professional vibe
Finally remember this look is highly casual and most of the time street, if you work in an office set up be careful not to seem too dressed-down on a Friday.
