U.S. President Barack Obama dances to Sauti Sols Sura Yako

It seems that even U.S. President Obama could not resist the dance appeal of Sauti Sol’s hit song Sura Yako.

Obama rose to his feet as the Award winning boy band performed at a state banquet that President Uhuru Kenyatta hosted at State House, Nairobi.

Guided by his Kenyan sister, Auma, Obama tried out the Lipala dance as they boy band performed Sura Yako.

“For those who doubted President Obama’s step, the Lipala dance is his new favourite Kenyan dance,” Sauti Sol posted on social media.

Sauti Sol’s electric performance also saw First Lady Margaret Kenyatta break into dance, as other guests cheered in excitement.

“Your gifts will bring you before kings. This is a revelation in our lives,” wrote Sauti Sol on Instagram during the dinner.

Sauti Sol met with international RnB singer Akon, who was a keynote speaker at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit. The four-member band revealed that they are working on a collabo.

“Something is cooking between Akon and us. Wait for it. Tag a diehard Akon and Sauti Sol fan,” wrote the male band on their Instagram page.

After the State House performance, the band flew to Rwanda for their first performance in the Eastern Africa country.

“The grind doesn’t stop. En route to Rwanda for our first show there! We are shutting it down at Kigali Up Festival today. We can’t wait,” said Sauti Sol.

Sura Yako is one of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s favourite songs, and he has been caught on camera singing along to the upbeat tune. The band has been privileged to perform at numerous national functions.
