1 Dead In Mbagathi Road Accident

The car is said to have been speeding when it hit the middle aged man who was crossing the road, killing him instantly.

The Toyota Prado was burnt down by an irate mob during the 7.30 Am incident.

Eye witnesses say the deceased was carrying household items when he was hit by the vehicle.

The owner of the car escaped unhurt and his whereabouts are unknown.

Cases of accidents are rampant at the area despite there being a foot bridge for pedestrians, who argue they fear being attacked by criminals up the bridge.

The body of the deceased has been moved to the city mortuary.
