10 Bags of Bhang Nabbed in Kajiado

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the seized bhang.

The vehicle ferrying the bhang was reported to have been an X-Trail KBU 587 Q that was headed to Nairobi from Tanzania when police intercepted it at a road block along Namanga-Nairobi road.

Confirming the incident, Kajiado County Commander Tito Kilonzi said the suspects tried to escape by diving into a nearby river but were arrested and taken to Kajiado police station.

Kilonzo pointed out that another consignment of 2 bags of  bhang was nabbed yesterday,Wednesday night at Isinya .

Kajiado County Commander says it was most likely that the bhang originated from the neighbouring country-Tanzania.

He says the police will work tirelessly to ensure that the goods entering the country are genuine and legal.

The consignment comes barely a month after two similar consignments worth millions of shillings were intercepted along the same highway.
