10 killed in Baringo grisly road crash

Ten people have been confirmed dead and others injured following a grisly road accident at HZ area along the Eldoret-Eldama Ravine road last evening.

Seven people died on the spot while three others among them two assistant chiefs, died while being rushed to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret for treatment.

Witnesses say the matatu overturned after the driver lost control.

Elsewhere, two people have died and 35 others injured in a road accident at Matarmat area near Londiani in Kericho County.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, Kipkelion OCPD William Kiambi said the incident happened after the bus lost control, veered off the road and rolled several times before landing in a ditch.

Kiambi further indicated that the bus was carrying 28 passengers when the accident happened.

The injured were rushed to various hospitals in Kericho county.
