12 people arrested for contravening curfew order in Migori

Twelve people were arrested on Monday night for contravening curfew orders in Isebania and Kehancha areas of Kuria West, Migori County.

Kuria West sub county police commander Cleti Kimaiyo said they arrested nine people at Mali-Ngumu area within the township of Isebania adding that the other three people were apprehended in Kehancha town.

The police boss said the 12 are set to arraigned on Tuesday.

He said police will continue with the crackdown warning members of the public against disregarding the regulations.

Meanwhile, a report from the Migori county commissioner’s office indicated that at least 100 people are apprehended in Migori County every day for contravening the curfew orders.
