14-year-old boy charged with defiling one-year-old baby in Nakuru

A 14-year-old boy was on Monday arraigned in a Nakuru court and charged with defiling a one and half year-old girl in Mau Narok, Njoro Constituency.

Appearing before Senior Resident Magistrate Yvonne Khatambi, the boy was charged that on September 19 and 20 at Mau Narok, he intentionally defiled the girl after she was left under his custody by the baby’s mother.

The court was told that the 14-year-old suspect intentionally committed the act and was caught pants down by neighbours who alerted the police.

The boy denied the charges and was released on a bond of Ksh.300,000 with a surety of a similar amount.

The case will be mentioned on October 24.

The defiled minor, who had been admitted in hospital has since been discharged.

The prosecution says it has lined up seven witnesses to testify on the matter.
