16-year-old boy dies as peers watch and record
Khaseen Morris, a 16-year-old boy died in New York as his peers watched.
According to CNN, a fight broke out between a group of about seven boys; one of them was Morris.
Instead of his friends helping him, they filmed the whole incident and posted it on social media.
At this time, Morris was bleeding on the pavement with a stab wound on his chest.
“If they would’ve put their phones down, Khaseen would’ve probably made it,” CNN quoted his elder sister Keyana.
Morris was taken to hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
According to Keyana, the fight started because of a girl that Morris had walked home from a party.
Apparently, the girl’s ex-boyfriend Tyler Flach approached Morris and threatened him.
Nassau County Police Department said 18-year-old Flach has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
