16-year-old girl arrested for cohabiting with boda-boda rider in Siaya
A 16-year-old girl was on Thursday arrested in Rarieda, Siaya County for allegedly failing to report to school and instead cohabiting with a boda boda rider.
According to area Assistant Chief Edwin Juma, the Form Three girl was spotted in the man’s house at Wich-Lum Beach in Bondo by neighbours who alerted police.
The administrator said police stormed the house but the boda boda operator identified as Kevin Ochieng’ had already fled.
The girl reportedly went missing just a day before schools re-opened for Third Term, adding that after apprehending her she was handed over to police in Asembo Bay where her parents reside.
The assistant chief said a hunt was underway for the boda boda rider, further warning local residents against taking advantage of young school girls.
