17 arrested drinking inside bar in Utawala during curfew
Seventeen people were on Saturday night arrested after they were found drinking inside a club in Utawala, Nairobi County, in contravention of government directives to curb the spread of COVID-19.
The revelers were nabbed little past 9pm and were taken to the Kayole Police Station where they are presently being held.
They were booked for contravening the laws and guidelines stipulated by the government of not being outside past curfew hours as well as failing to maintain social distance.
The 17 are set to be arraigned in court on Monday.
