18 KCSE candidates from Kobala Secondary detained for sneaking out

18 students from Kobala Mixed Secondary School who are sitting for this year’s KCSE exam were detained for hours at the chief office.

It is alleged that they had sneaked out of school to go dancing at the neighboring Kobuya Location.

The 16 boys and two girls from Wang’chieng Location in Rachuonyo North Sub County are said to have sneaked out of the school on Saturday night.

According to Wang’chieng’ Location Chief Peter Agunga, the candidates used a wooden ladder to escape from the school.

They allegedly placed it on the fence and used it to climb out.

Chief Agunga also revealed that after the dancing spree, the students apparently camped at a home in Wang’chieng’ Location where one of them comes from.

The matter was reported to his office by concerned members of the public.

Citizen Digital has established that the candidates are now back in school and currently undertaking the remaining examinations.
