2 boda boda operators killed

The body of a 28-year-old man was found dumped at Keveye area in Sabatia West, Vihiga County.

Residents say the deceased who had multiple head injuries, could have been murdered elsewhere and his body dumped there.

The man is said to be a boda boda operator from Kakamega.

Area chief Hudson Lubuya said an investigation has been launched into the incident.

The body was taken to Vihiga District Hospital mortuary

Elsewhere, a boda boda operator died on the spot and the passenger he was ferrying sustained serious injuries when the motorbike was hit by a canter at Konate area in Nyamira County.

It is reported that the canter, which was heading to Kericho from Kisii, collided head-on with the motorbike.

Nyamira OCPD Rico Ngare said that the injured passenger is currently receiving treatment at Nyamira District hospital.

The body of the deceased was taken to Nyamira District Hospital mortuary.
