2 Dead, 2 Injured Salgaa Accident

The accident involving two lorries took place at Migaa area near Salgaa.

In a telephone interview, Rongai OCPD Joseph Mwamburi said the lorries were travelling in opposite directions and that the driver of the one travelling from Nakuru to Eldoret is suspected to have been over speeding.

Mwamburi confirmed that two people died on the spot while two others are currently admitted at the Rift Valley General Hospital having sustained serious injuries.

Both vehicles were towed to Salgaa Traffic Police Base.

This is the latest of the accidents on one of the black spots along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway.

Other black spots on the highway include: the stretch between Molo GSU Camp, Sachang’wan, Migaa and Salgaa.

Most accidents that have taken place along the highway have been blamed on over speeding and careless overtaking.
