2 KDF Soldiers Killed In Lamu

Several other soldiers were reportedly injured during the incident.

The soldiers were transporting food from Hindi, near Lamu, to Ras Kamboni Military Camp.

Lamu East OCPD Samuel Obara at the scene of the incident said the two officers were killed by a group of about ten militants who ambushed them.

The soldiers’ vehicle stalled at Milimani between Mangai and Basuba which is about 21 kilometers from Hindi where the attack occurred.

The militants then fired at the convoy leaving the two dead and several others injured.

The police have since launched a man hunt for the suspects.
