2 killed in accident on Nairobi-Mombasa Highway

Two people were killed on Monday evening after an accident at Cement area on the Nairobi-Mombasa Road in Machakos County.

According to a police statement, the 11pm accident involved a Nissan Tiida and a Mitsubishi saloon car traveling to Mombasa.

The Mitsubishi vehicle is reported to have rammed to the Nissan Tiida from behind killing the driver and female passenger on the spot.

The bodies were moved to Shallom Community Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem.

The vehicles were towed to Athi River Police station.
