2 Killed In Kimathi Street Shootout, Nairobi

One suspect was shot dead on Kimathi Street while the other was gunned down on Kamba lane, off Moi Avenue.

Two of the victims who were in critical condition were transported to Kenyatta National Hospital by the St John Ambulance.

Three other victims are admitted at the nearby Crescent Medical Aid Clinic at Jamia Mall.

Police say the two men were part of a four man gang that was being trailed by the police.

Two of the four robbers escaped on foot as the shoot-out between them and the police was at its pick.

Pedestrians who were at the scene were forced to take cover behind motor vehicles and lie on the tarmac as gunshots rent the air.
