2 Killed In Naivasha Accident

The early morning accident took place near the Naivasha GK Prison fly-over when a lorry ferrying oranges lost control and rammed into two vehicles.

According to Joseph Chege, the lorry hit the side of his car, lost control and hit a group of flower farm workers who were on their way to work.

The lorry also hit a probox taxi carrying police officers and dragged them for several metres.

A speed gadget used by the police to monitor speeding vehicles was spoiled in the accident.

The gadget costs over a million shillings.

Those who died included a police officer in the probox vehicle.

Those injured are receiving treatment at Naivasha District Hospital.
