2 People Killed In Siaya Accident

The commuter matatu that was headed to Busia from Kisumu collided head on with the tanker that was coming from the opposite direction at around 9PM.

Confirming the incident, Ugunja Deputy County Commissioner Kipkech Lotiatia says the tanker lost control and veered off the road hitting the matatu killing a man and a child instantly.

Lotiatia has said the driver and turn boy fled abandoning the tanker after the crash.

10 injured passengers were rushed to nearby Ambira Sub County hospital.
