2 Suspected Poachers Shot Dead

The two were gunned down at Solio Wildlife Conservancy in Nyeri County after they allegedly attacked the conservancy.

According to KWS officers, one gun, three bullets and several crude weapons were recovered from the suspected poachers.

Mt Kenya Conservancy Deputy Director Aggrey Maumo says KWS officers managed to corner the poachers after trailing them from Monday this week when they first attacked the conservancy.

Maumo is now calling on people living around Solio Conservancy to work with KWS to tame poaching in the area

He warned poachers that there days are numbered.

The incident comes one month after two other poachers, including a police officer, were shot dead after they were found with weapons while targeting a rhino in the conservancy.
