2 Suspects Killed In KDF Attack On Bandits Hideout In Kapedo

The Kenya Defense Forces have launched a massive operation in parts of Baringo and Turkana counties hit by violence that has left more than 20 police officers dead. Reports indicate that soldiers killed two bandits hours after moving into the area following the expiry of president Uhuru Kenyatta’s ultimatum to locals to name the killers and surrender firearms stolen from the slain officers. And as Michael Njenga reports, the Independent Policing Oversight Authority has demanded the resignation of top police chiefs over their handling of the crisis.
