20 Hospitalized For Consuming Bad Meat

The meat was from a cow that had been slaughtered by one of the villagers.

He is said to have sold the uninspected meat to unsuspecting members of the public without involving public health officers

Most of the patients who included adults and children are in stable condition.

The County Executive in charge of Health in Meru County Dr William Muraa visited the affected in the hospital.

He promised that the county government will put up measures to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the area.

Igembe North Member of Parliament Joseph Eruaki who also visited the hospital said he will conduct public education to avoid deaths caused by ignorance
