Police in Homa Bay have launched investigations into the mysterious death of a 20 year-old woman who died in her boyfriend’s house in Kainyuma Village, Rachuoyo South sub-county.

The woman identified as Everlyne Achieng died at dawn in the house of her alleged boyfriend, Walter Omondi, under unclear circumstances.

Homa Bay County Police Commander Marius Tum said Achieng’s handlers recorded statements that she complained of headache on Monday night and died on Tuesday at dawn in the house of her apalleged lover.

Tum says the body of the deceased lacked visible injuries, further adding that they will take appropriate legal action based on results of the post-mortem.

The deceased, who hails from Rangwe sub-county, is said to have been cohabiting with the boyfriend for the last two weeks.

The body has been transferred to Rachuonyo South sub-county Hospital Mortuary for post-mortem.
