3 Bodies Dumped Inside A Volcanic Hole In Nakuru

There was shock at Oljorai village in Nakuru County after three bodies were found dumped inside a volcanic hole.

The bodies were discovered by children who were going to a nearby school.

Villagers suspect that the deceased were killed elsewhere and their bodies dumped in the area

Emotions ran high as the bodies, two of which were without clothes were retrieved from the deep volcanic hole early Thursday.

James Gicheru, a village elder said that school going children had been attracted to the scene by a foul smell emanating from the decomposing bodies.

Gilgil OCPD Serah Koki who visited the scene of the incident said that the bodies were of elderly men and a middle aged woman.

She said that from their initial investigations the bodies could have stayed on the scene for over three days.

Koki added that investigation would be conducted to find the people behind the killing and that the bodies will have to undergo a postmortem.

The discovery of the bodies comes two weeks after seven bodies were exhumed from a mass grave in Kitengela.

Two months ago, four youths from Nyeri were murdered through shooting and their bodies dumped near Mt Kenya.
