3 Chinese nationals arrested in Kilimani to remain in police custody
Three Chinese nationals and a Kenyan who were arrested in Kilimani for being in possession of wildlife trophies will remain in police custody as investigations continue.
The four will be detained at Kilimani Police Station for five days before being arraigned for plea taking.
They are facing four charges among them being in possession of wildlife trophies.
During the raid at their residence in Kilimani on Tuesday morning, police discovered a tortoise, elephant tusks, leopard skins and other contraband goods.
Meat suspected to be from dogs was also recovered after neigbours reported a foul smell emanating from their house.
Police also found ornaments made from the wildlife trophies.
The raid follows complaints filed by neighbours regarding a foul smell emanating from the residence.
