3 dead, 27 injured in separate accidents

Three people died and two others were seriously injured in two separate road accidents, on the Nairobi-Namanga road.

The first accident involved a motorbike, and a personal car, which collided, killing two people on the spot and injuring two others near Bisil town.

The second accident occurred near Uma University, after a bus and a lorry collided head on, killing one person.

The injured were treated at Kajiado district hospital, and bodies taken to the hospital’s mortuary.

Elsewhere, 25 people were injured, with three in critical condition, following a road accident at Kola area on the Machakos-Wote road, early Saturday morning.

It is reported that catholic faithful from Mavindini in Makueni were heading to a church event in Makutano, Machakos County when the accident occurred.

The accident involved a personal car, which collided with the vehicle the catholic faithful were travelling in.

Makueni County Health Executive Andrew Mulwa says 22 of the injured are receiving treatment at Machakos Level 5 Hospital, while the three who sustained serious injuries receiving specialized treatment at Makueni Level 4 Hospital.
