3 Dead In Mombasa Terror Attack

The incident occurred at around 10am.

Witnesses say gunmen walked into the church along Lunga Lunga road and sprayed worshippers with bullets and immediately took off.

Scores of people have been injured and have since been rushed to the Mombasa Level 5 Hospital.

Police who were 100 meters away patrolling the area responded swiftly but unfortunately the gunmen managed to escape.

The attack comes despite the intensified security in Mombasa County.

Recently, police nabbed a vehicle with 173 kilograms of explosives in Changamwe.

Police have now launched a manhunt for the gunmen.

Among the deceased is the church guard.
