3 killed after speeding Probox hits motorbikes in Eldoret

Three people have perished in a grisly accident involving two motorbikes and a Toyota Probox in Kibulgeny, Eldoret.

Eldoret West outgoing OCPD Eliud Maiyo said two pillion passengers and one of the riders died on the spot.

One of them was rushed to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) and is in critical condition.

The Toyota Probox van was heading to Soy while the motorbikes were headed into Eldoret town during the Saturday morning incident.

Witnesses told Chamgei FM that the Probox was speeding before it lost control, veered off the road and hit the motorbikes.

Two of the three fatalities are family members.

Residents now want bumps erected on the dangerous stretch saying more than 10 people have perished in accidents in the recent past.
